Artist's Comments

This was one of the images I used to get into a tattoo apprenticeship about a year ago.

The Images if of my Zodiac sign which is, well... Kinda lame.

Half goat half fish. Can't swim or walk on land. So I figured since winter is often called the season of death, why not make it dead.

At least it looks cool now.

Dart, as always, your intimate knowledge of anatomical structures of man and beast alike astounds me.

I had the benefit of my mother being a biologist when I was a kid and my older brothers being morbid and into anything that had to do with death.

A dissection here, a plinth of skull there.

I think I turned out alright

Oh it definitely did. And you're right, it does look cooler this way.

You gonna do one for my zodiac sign? :D

Quick question. Which aspect of Virgo is important or you feel reflects you?
